This page is an attempt to define in non-eighties speak, the stupid terms that we used 20 years ago.

    * As If
      (1)Excl. I'd rather not. ie.  "I'm sure Tim Vesely would take you to Prom?" "AS IF!"

    * Awesome
      (1)Adj. Something extremely good, and exceptional example.  ie. "The food fight was awesome!"

    * Bitchin'
      (1)Adj. Superb, excellent. ie. "Hey Hanrahan, those tires on your Camaro are bitchin'."

    * Bodacious
      (1)Adj. beautiful. ie. "Denise Wojak is one bodacious babe."

    * Bogus
      (1)Adj. Not good. ie. "Dobson blamed me for smashing out his tail lights. That's pretty bogus."
      (2)Excl. Really not good. ie. "Aw man, Lorenzen gave me a detention for giving Wenta a grundee." "Bogus!"

    * Bonus
      (1)Excl. Used to denote satisfaction or one's approval. ie. "Rufener's parents are going away next weekend,
      she's throwing a party!" "Bonus!"

    * Chill Pill
      (1)Excl. Take it easy. ie. "Take a Chill Pill! You're gonna get us all busted."

    * Chillin'
      (1)Verb. To be resting. ie. "I was just chillin' in John Timm's basement."

    * Cool
      (1)Adj. Something really good and hip. ie. "Hey Luanne, those are cool bibs."
      (2)Excl. Very good, very hip. ie. "I just won tickets from WKTI  to the World Series Of Rock" "Cool!"

    * Cool Beans
      (1)Adj. Cool, awesome, agreeable.  ie.  "I make $3.35 an hour working at Chess King".  "Cool beans!"

    * Don't Have a Cow
      (1)Phrase. Remain calm, don't get excited.  ie. "Mr. Rafko, put the knife back in you pocket and take you seat"
     "Okay Mr. Baiocchi, don't have a cow".

    * Dork
      (1)Noun. Someone who is not cool. ie. "Mr. Zachek is a real dork."
      (2)Noun. A penis. ie. "Hey Gutch... stop playing with your dork and pay attention."

    * Dude
      (1)Noun. Someone who is cool. The opposite of a dork.
      (2)Excl. A greeting. Used with a close friend that is considered cool. ie. "Dude!"

    * Dudette
      (1)Noun. A woman who is cool. The opposite of a dork.

    * Dudical
      (1)Adj. Used to describe a place or thing as cool as someone dubbed a "dude".

    * Dufus
      (1)Noun. Someone who acts stupid. ie. "Only a dufus would play in a air band." or "Don't be a dufus."

    * Duh
      (1)Adj. Something that is obvious.  ie.  "Kelly Kelser and Cindy Parisey are drunk again".  "Duh!"

    * Dweeb
      (1)Noun. Someone who is not cool. ie. "Mr. Zachek is such a dweeb."

    * Excellent
      (1)Excl. Superb.  ie. "So Cheryl has the answers to Herb's test? "Yeah, Excellent."

    * Fer Sure
      (1)Phrase. Definitely. ie. "Do you want me to set you up with Dan Carrol?" "Fer Sure!"

    * Funky
      Multiple meanings, 70's disco leftover.

    * Gag Me With a Spoon
      (1)Phrase. Disgusting.

    * Geek
      (1)Noun. A person who is not hip, usually implies stupidity as well. ie. "Mr Zachek is such a geek!"

    * Get Out
      (1)Excl. I don't believe you.  ie. "I've got my sister's I.D." "Get Out!"

    * Gnarly
      (1)Adj. Exceptional. ie. "Ohrmund did the most gnarly beer bong trick."

    * Goober
      (1)Noun. Snot. ie. "Eww. You've got a goober hanging out." (2)Adj. Something stupid. ie. "Don't be such a
      goober."

    * Grodie
      (1)Adj. Disgusting. ie. "Mashed potatos and cubed turkey in a bowl looks grodie."

    * Gross Me Out
      (1)Excl. Disgusting.

    * Gross Me Out the Door
      (1)Excl. Very Disgusting.

    * Grundee
      (1)Action Verb. To pull another person's underwear upwards in a jerking motion untill it wedges between ones
      butt-crack. This is done from behind the person in order to keep them defenseless.
      Origins of this word can be traced to Freese Lake Elementary School. It was originally performed on Jeff
      Aulenbacher while he waited in line for the bubbler.

    * Heinous
      (1)Adj. Not good. ie. "Did you see that heinous zit on Messig's neck?"

    * Kickin'
      (1)Adj. Fun, exciting, and cool. ie. "How was Horan's Party?" "It was kickin', Dubey threw tuna sandwiches
      against the basement wall!"

    * Killer
      (1)Adj. very cool. ie. "Judy Wnuk is wearing a killer pink tube top today!"

    * Kiss My Grits
      (1)Excl. A more polite way of saying "kiss my ass."
      Origins of phrase trace back to the seventies on "Alice's Diner", it was a carry over for a few years into the
      eighties.

    * Like
      Used as a modifier, really has no definition. ie. "I was all like, Sue... your laugh is freaking me out.  And she
      was like, Diane... like I can really help it".

    * Like, Oh My God!
      (1)Excl. Wow. Unbelievable.

    * Major
      (1)Adj. Really cool. ie. "Monica has a major voice".

    * Make Me Barf
      (1)Phrase. A way to signal disgust with a situation. Sometimes used as "Make me wanna barf."  ie. "Joe
      Dobson gave the cheerleaders a ride home after the game."  "Oh, that makes me want to barf."

    * Nerd
      (1)Noun. Someone who is very smart and socially unacceptable. ie. "Mr. Zachek is such a nerd."
      (2)Noun. Also the proper name of a tangy candy made by Wonka candies.

    * No Shit Sherlock
      (1)Excl. Stating the obvious.  I already know that.  ie.  "Renee Sanger got another "A"!"  "No Shit Sherlock."

    * No Way
      (1)Excl. Not going to do that. "Be home by 10:30 pm!" "No Way!"
      (2)Excl. Disbelief. "I got tickets to Lover Boy." "No Way!"

    * Preppie
      (1)Noun. A person who dressed in upscale clothing.  ie. "What a surprise, Jay Edgar is wearing Izods again,
      he's such a preppie."

    * Psyche
      (1)Excl. Ha! Fooled you! ie. Dan Gehring offers you a beer, and then pulls it away and slams it, he would then
      yell "Psyche!".

    * Radical
      (1)Adj. Something extremely hip, almost awesome.  ie. "Tom Smithyman is the most radical farmer".

    * Rad
      (1)Abrv. Short for radical.  ie.  "Tom's the most rad hay bailer in all of Ashippun".

    * Smooth Move
      (1)Excl. That was a really stupid action.  Usually followed by a swear word.  ie.  Rick Guetzke tries peeing
     out of a moving vehicle.  "Smooth move dumbass!"

    * Stellar
      (1)Adj. very cool. ie. "Judy Wnuk's tube top is so stellar!"

    * Stoked
      (1)Excl. Very excited. ie. "I am so stoked, Judy Wnuk is wearing her pink tube top again."

    * To The Max
      (1)Adj. Used in conjunction with any adjective that you want to emphasize. ie "That chick is annoying to the
      max!"

    * Totally Awesome
      (1)Adj. Something truly exceptional, not flawed in any ways. "That was like, totally awesome when T.J.
      Moberg lit his fart in Science class".

    * Totally Tubular
      (1)Adj. A really cool move in skateboarding.

    * "Way","No Way"
      (1)An exchange between two people when one believes something the other does not. ie. "I saw Jeff
      Hagenstein puking in the Pizza Pub parking lot" "No Way" "Way" "No Way" "Way".

    * Way Cool
      (1)Adj. Very cool. ie. "That REO Speedwagon concert jersey is way cool."

    * Whatever
      (1)Excl. Universally used for anything that leaves even an ounce of doubt in your mind. Usually used in a
      condescending tone by a Valley Girl. ie. "So then... Kerry Callan says, 'I can drive to the Falls...I got the keys
      to my mom's station wagon' and I'm like 'Whatever!'"

    * Wicked
      (1)Adj. Excellent or great. ie. "Lisa Gregg scored some wicked pot from Jim Rufener".

    * Yeah Right
      (1)Excl. Generally sarcastic.  ie.  "And then, DeAnna Kelly ran naked through the drive-in. "Yeah right".

    * Yo
      (1)Excl. A greeting. ie. "Yo dude, are we going to the Pub or what?"
